Luuma vs Screenly for UK hospitality resellers

Compare Luuma and Screenly for ICRTouch menu boards, customer management, enterprise requirements and published subscription terms.

By Luuma Checked

Start with Luuma when your signage service centres on ICRTouch menus and managing hospitality customers. Include Screenly when enterprise identity, audit requirements or its player options are central to the brief.

A pub menu and an office information screen can look similar while creating different support work. For a hospitality reseller, the useful comparison is what happens when a price changes, a customer adds a location or a manager needs access. This is a comparison of published capabilities and Luuma's offering, rather than a claim that we have run a comparative hardware trial.

Luuma combines customer and site management with designs, playlists and ICRTouch product-name and price bindings. Screenly documents scheduling, offline playback and cloud API access across its plans, with additional enterprise controls on higher tiers. Your required workflow should determine which features deserve attention.[2][4]

Make the menu update your first demonstration

Luuma's specific benefit for an ICRTouch venue is connecting product text to the till catalogue inside a designed menu. That gives a reseller a concrete service to demonstrate: choose the product, link its name or price and retain the venue's visual design. It is a useful starting point when the client already uses ICRTouch and wants branded digital menus or beer boards.[2]

Use a representative menu with multiple prices and a promotion. Check the source product, the selected price field and the final display. Ask each supplier what must be installed and who maintains the connection. A documented API or web-page feature does not, by itself, establish that a particular till integration is ready; equally, an unlisted integration is not proof that it is unavailable.

Match the operating model to the customer

Screenly's MSP material explicitly addresses managing separate customers, access roles and combined billing. It is a credible option to investigate for an established managed-services business. Request the partner terms and support responsibilities for your deployment; retail subscription prices alone do not tell you the margin on a managed service.[5]

For Luuma, evaluate the practical handover: create a customer, organise its sites, give the right people access and let them work with their content. Ask a venue manager to complete a normal update without your help. Record the steps that need training, because that recurring support work belongs in your service price alongside installation and design.[2]

Compare a complete quote

The Screenly figures above are annual-billing equivalents in US dollars, not monthly sterling quotations. Its pricing page states that payments are in USD. Compare the actual commitment, taxes and hardware with Luuma's monthly sterling terms, rather than converting a headline number and declaring a winner.[3][1]

Include the proposed player, installation, content preparation and support time in both quotes. Luuma hardware is separate. Before buying a fleet, confirm the exact device and network arrangement with the supplier and test the content your customer will actually show.[1]

Common questions

Does Luuma promise instant stock updates from ICRTouch?

No. This comparison covers catalogue product names and prices in signage. It does not promise stock availability or an instant synchronization interval.[2]

Is Screenly restricted to one customer account?

No. Its MSP programme describes multi-tenant customer management. Evaluate its partner arrangement alongside Luuma's reseller offering.[5]
